Our team came together with a purpose and the same goal in mind - a passion for combining dance, art and sport and creating something new in Slovenia. Our members come from different dance or gymnastics backgrounds, which is a great advantage as we learn from each other. We also collaborate across borders.

Wheel's Koper has a positive impact on the community and beyond. Why? Because we are constantly pushing boundaries and being innovative. We believe in something that society thinks is impossible! That is bringing creativity to unconventional sports like Rhon Wheel. By incorporating dance into this gymnastic discipline, we not only add an artistic element, but allow individuals to fully express themselves and fulfil a deeper emotional connection to movement. We strive to inspire others to cross boundaries and explore new ways of expressing themselves within their passions.

Denise Calì

Founder & CEO

Denise Calì, originally from Milano, moved to Slovenia over a decade ago. Captivated by the charm of her new homeland and inspired by her homeland, she harbors aspirations of bringing fresh vitality in Slovenia. An individual of grand visions, Denise serves as both a visionary leader and an artistic soul. It is her profound passion and boundless creativity that birthed the existence of Wheel's Koper. Alongside her ownership of two big companies, Denise actively engages in diverse projects, driven by her unwavering commitment to innovation.

Fascinated by dance from a young age, Denise's journey with the artform began later in life due to her various business projects. Nevertheless, her ardor for dance remains undiminished, manifested through meticulous training regimens crafted with her visionary perspective. Yet, beyond honing skills, her paramount mission is to breathe life into seemingly unattainable concepts, igniting inspiration among multitudes. Moreover, Denise possesses a unique gift for recognizing the untapped potential within each individual, further enriching her transformative endeavors.

Nika Gabrijelčič

Trainer and modern dancer

Nika Gabrijelčič began her dancing career at the age of 16 as a hip hop dancer, but later found her passion in modern and jazz dance, of which she in fact became a teacher. Nika places importance on different dance techniques without setting limits on herself, constantly discovering new techniques, and placing no limits on expression and interpretation. In addition to being the performer and the main teacher at Wheel's Koper, she has the ability to teach with patience and thoroughness, making each student's progress a source of daily inspiration and satisfaction. Nika's empathetic aspect helps her step into the role of the performer by facilitating her interpretation and helping the client create a "tailored" show vision that excites and impresses them, from the most fluid to the grittiest movements. Nika through her mixed background and flair for human relationships, knows how to build confidence in the student by instilling strength and courage, and can move audiences with performances through her discipline, devotion and 'love of dance.

Sanda Husić

Choreographer and jazz, cheer dancer

Sanda Husić started her dance career in 2004 in Pivka, in the dance group Pike. She was a member of the group for several years, a dance competitor and also a coach. She has many competitions and performances under her belt, through which she has received many awards (2nd place in the group at the 2016 slo cheer open and 2nd place in the pair Artur&Sanda in the jazz cheer category, 7th place at the 2016 European championships in Austria, she is also a multiple national champion in pom-pon dance in pairs and group, and world champion in 2007 with the Slovenian pom-pon dance team in Finland).

Sanda is co-founder of Wheel's Koper. Her role in the club is mainly artistic and choreographic as she co-creates choreographies and corrects jazz dance technique.

Suzana Husic

Trainer, gymnast and jazz dancer

Suzana Husić is an educator and coach for many years in various disciplines. She has been teaching swimming, jazz dance and gymnastics for many years. She has been dancing since she was a little girl, so she has a very long dancing career, accompanied by various dance achievements, with the Pike dance group (2nd place in the group at the 2016 Slovenian Cheer Open, 7th place at the 2016 European Championships in Austria, she is also a multiple national champion in pom-pon dances as a group, and world champion in 2007 with the Slovenian pom-pon dance team in Finland).

Suzana is the co-founder of Wheel's Koper, a fitness trainer and a trainer of technique on wheels.

Michela Lisjak

Dancer and influencer

Michela Lisjak has been a gymnast since she was a little girl, and at the age of 15 she turned her passion to dance. Over the years, she has trained in jazz ballet, modern, classical ballet, hip hop and show dance. She has gained experience in many theatre performances, events, concerts, basketball matches and TV shows both in Slovenia and abroad. She has also won a wide range of national and European competitions and prizes.

Michela has better access to Rhon Wheel gymnastics in Belgium, where she lives, so her contribution to Wheel's Koper is also very significant. She keeps up to date with competitions and workshops.
